About Nina

I am a vegan passionate about healthy food and a sustainable lifestyle. I have been a blogger for many years, writing about different topics, including food, in journals and on my other platforms, but I felt it was time to dedicate a blog to my love and curiosity for plant-based cuisine, plant-based nutrition, sustainable lifestyle and little things in life that make me happy.

I turned vegetarian as a teenager and had to learn to cook for myself early on. I have always liked to cook, especially for family and friends, but it wasn't until I became vegan almost a decade ago that I discovered a passion for cooking and creating healthy and delicious plant-based meals. I completed a whole-food, plant-based cooking course as well as a course on plant-based nutrition, so I try to create healthy, nutritionally rich and well-balanced meals.

Even though I became vegetarian and later vegan for animal welfare, I also believe that plant-based nutrition is much healthier for our health as well as the health of the planet and I like to write about these important benefits.

Cooking and blogging are my hobbies - when not in the kitchen, my life revolves around Yoga, Psychotherapy and Psychology. I am a founder and lead teacher of Spanda Institute, an International Yoga Teacher Training school, a Yoga Therapist, a Body-oriented Psychotherapist, and a Psychology student.

I hope you will find information and inspiration on these pages.

About the blog

This blog is divided into three topics - plant-based recipes, food for thought, and I love.

The blog's primary focus is the plant-based recipes, often inspired by what I have in my pantry and refrigerator - I was always more of an intuitive cook than one that follows recipes. However, many vegans chefs inspire me, so if the recipe was inspired by someone, it is always mentioned.

In the food for thought section, you will find information about plant-based nutrition and other benefits of a plant-based diet, such as its positive impact on the environment, climate crisis and animal welfare. This part is also dedicated to a sustainable lifestyle and the practices I have adopted over the years in the quest to find more sustainable choices regarding food, clothes, and cosmetics and leaving a smaller carbon footprint in general.

Finally, I LoVe part of this blog is dedicated to things and places that make me happy because they support vegan lifestyle and a more sustainable living. Here you will find tips about ingredients I use, restaurants I love, brands I support and more.
